SNES still rules with Mario Turning 25
Even though these older 16bit video game consoles are fairly obsolete these days, there are still many people who remain staunch follower of the SNES Classics. A rage in the gaming world at one time these games were as popular as a GTA or a Halo of today.
Launches in the early nineties SNES was made by Nintendo and distributed by Hyundai. Gamers who were till then used to an Atari console, fell in love with Nintendo. Called the Super Famicon in Japan and SE Asia SNES revolutionized gaming in the last decade of 20th century.
Today when placed next to a PSP, Xbox or a Wii, SNES looks analog and retro but there are SNES lover all over the world still waiting to play their favorite SNES ROMS on rainy Sunday afternoons when you feel nostalgic.
The second generation console launched by Nintendo after NES, its graphic and sound capacities was fairly extraordinary for its time. Today if you want to play any of these SNES ROM classics there are not many platforms that allow you to do so. Gaming experts and die hard fans have devised ways to modify these SNES ROMS to their PC and some very lucky individuals still have a SNES console that works. They can keep playing these retro gems in the truly traditional way they were meant to be played.
