How You Can Save Money On Electrical Power
Electricity bills can break you sometimes. If it seems that all your bill does is continuously increase each month, then you definitely must make a number of changes. Today we're going to give you a couple of hints that won't even cost a lot and will help to know save money on electricity.
If it's a warm day out why not open up the windows. Don't forget to let in the sunlight also. This will help out with two situations in your electrical use. One you can turn off the air or heater, and two you won't need to make use of lights. It seems pretty dumb to have lights on in your home when you can push aside a drape or curtain and let in the bright sunlight. This doesn't even cost you money to do; all it takes is a slight change of habits.
A small cost to incur is that of a surge protector. But there have been studies that show electrical devices continue to use electricity even when they are off. If you buy a surge protector you can place these devices on it, and shut the surge protector off. Already you have saved the amount that you paid on to buy that item.
Buying new appliances is a big stretch. But with some of the newer items that save energy, the price you pay for this item can be paid off in a couple of months, with the money you can save. If you have a lot of appliances that you can switch over, try buying something every few months or so. That way it shouldn't cut into your budget too much.
During the winter months pile on more clothes, and turn the thermostat down on your heat. Setting the thermostat at a lower temperature will save money because your heater won't have to work as long as it has before. Even a slight change from say 75 degrees to 71 degrees can end up saving a nice amount of money. The same philosophy can be used during the summer months, not the clothing part, but the change in the setting of the thermostat.
Spend a bit more money and change your water heater to the energy saving tankless model. These water heaters only run when you need warm water, and this will save on the electric bill. But they also will not use up as much water, because as soon as you turn it on the water is heated, so no more waiting to get into the shower.
If you leave a room shut the light off, this is a big habit for kids, and yes adults alike. They leave a room and forget to turn off all the lights.
As you can tell most of these ideas will not cost you a cent. But they will help to lower the bill for electricity. Money saved can be used to purchase other things, like those energy saving appliances or more clothes!

I'm planning on getting a Canon S5 IS Digital Camera... I was wondering about it's durability...?
here is what it looks like:

I went to the store to look at the model of this camera... and the model had chipping on the black grib (left side of camera on that pic)... I was wondering if there is a sticker protector to avoid the black grip from chipping? A sticker similar to a LCD protector screen?
If anybody has this camera, how is the camera working out for you so far? I'm planning to get it tomorrow morning so any reviews about this camera would be greatly appreciated. Thanks
Answer:
Use the neck strap that comes with the camera. Your camera should always:
A) Be hanging around your neck
B) Be on a tripod
C) Be safely stored in a nice padded camera bag
Keep it away from water and other liquids.
Visit cameraarmor.com and bonicadive.com and look at the protective covers they offer. If you think one of them has value and will help protect your camera then buy it.
Buy the LAH-DC20 Adapter and a 58mm Skylight filter. The DC20 comes with a lens hood - which you should always use - and the Skylight filter protects the front element of your lens from dust and fingerprints. I'd much rather clean a filter than the camera lens.
Follow the instructions in the Owner's Manual for general cleaning of the camera. Ignore any suggestions about using alcohol or other liquids for cleaning or using canned air to remove dust.
Enjoy your new camera.
