I like the colors and shades it looks so much better than the default blue and Olive green theme. Also no need for more actions, just one click installation and there you got it!
A great combination color using black, gray, and cosy orange color. Perfect!
Microsoft Zune Theme 1.0 is a Shell Extension product from microsoft.com, get 5 Stars SoftSea Rating, Microsoft Zune Theme: This is an official Microsoft theme. It's similar to Windows Media Center's Blue Royal Theme, except in a very cool Vista black with an orange start button! I personally like this better than Vista.
The Microsoft Zune Theme is a theme (a package that includes wallpaper, a screensaver, a new colour scheme and so on) for Windows XP, which is designed to match Microsoft's Zune media player.
The theme includes a photo of a crowd outside a concert, with palm trees in the distance, and a light blue sky. There is also a Zune logo in the middle-left. I would say that it is good, but not everyone will like it. You can always substitute it for your own wallpaper/background. The colour scheme is black and orange, with a black taskbar and start menu, and an orange start button. Other features include differently shaped/sized buttons, new close/restore/minimise buttons and more highlights and shading than the other official themes. There is no built in screensaver, and it will change your screensaver setting back to the default Windows XP screensaver. There are also no inbuilt cursors or sounds.
I would recommend downloading the Zune theme if you are bored of the boring themes included and want a new and exciting theme, then download this. Also, if you have a Zune MP3 player, and love the feel/interface of it, then consider downloading it also. I can't figure out what I don't have to download the Zune software. This is their requirements: Microsoft Windows 7 (all editions), Windows Vista (all editions), Windows XP with Service Pack 2 (Home, Professional, Tablet PC, or Media Center Edition 2005 with Rollup Update 2), or Mac OS X with Boot Camp running Windows 7, Windows Vista, or Windows XP.
Zune software won't work on versions of Windows earlier than Windows XP SP2, any 64-bit version of Windows XP, or any version of Windows Server.
This is what I have: Dell Vostro 1000, Microsoft Windows XP, Home Edition version 2002, Service Pack 3. Processor 3600, 2.00 GHz, 896 MB of RAM
Does this make sense to anybody. Do I need something more to download the Zune software?

You can simply download the Zune software and install it. Your configuration meets the minimum requirements, as you run Windows XP Home Edition with Service Pack 3 and the minimum requirement is Windows XP Home Edition with Service Pack 2 as you wrote yourself.
